Thresholds

This series happened over the course of the first major lock-down in 2020 and continued into 2021. I was grateful to have more time to devote to my love of art and chose to use this time to further develop my budding passion for watercolour. The scenes depicted merge my passion for architecture, and my studies in breathwork and transcendent states of consciousness. Arches have a certain captivating magic to them, as physical thresholds that we pass through to enter a new space, sometimes wrought with mysteries, surprises, and offer a unique moment to pause and reflect on the choice to continue on or turn back.
